Give your agent a video.
Keep the final say.

Bare Video is an open-source editing skill for coding agents. Your agent uses the tools already on your machine, reaches for FFmpeg and HyperFrames when useful, and adapts the edit to your footage instead of forcing it through a template.

No extra editor. No Bare Video engine. Just a better handoff to your coding agent.

01

Your footage comes first.

The agent reads the Bare Video skill, inspects the actual video, and figures out what the edit is trying to do. No mandatory sequence of layouts pretending to be taste.

02

Use the tools that already work.

FFmpeg handles the media. HyperFrames handles composed browser visuals when they help. Transcription can come from Groq, Deepgram, a local model, or whatever tool you approve.

03

Real material beats decorative filler.

If the video mentions a repo, result, website, screenshot, or demo, show the real thing. If nothing useful belongs on screen, stay with the footage.

04

You still approve the edit.

Ask for a plan or let the agent make a first draft. Either way, preview the result and adjust it in normal language before final export.

Give it taste, not a cage.

These are directions the agent can choose from. They are not templates it has to rotate through.

YOUR REFERENCE

Reference-led

Give the agent an edit you like and let it borrow the language, not the branding.

Folder. Skill. Edit.

Bare Video stays out of the way. The coding agent does the work with native tools.

  1. 01Make a folder

Put your original video and any references or assets there.

  2. 02Load Bare Video

Give the agent the repo or install the skill permanently if you use it often.

  3. 03Describe the edit

Use the prompt builder or just tell the agent what you want.

  4. 04Preview

Review the cut and visuals instead of trusting a successful command.

  5. 05Export

Adjust in plain language, then render the final video.

One skill.
Your agent does the rest.

Open source. Local-first. Built under Bare Stack Labs.
